A corporate gift that arrives with the wrong name on it, or a trophy that misspells the honouree, undoes whatever goodwill it was meant to buy. Sun Studio, a direct UV printing studio in Al Quoz, Dubai, prints each name, logo or photograph straight onto the gift itself — a gahwa cup, a perfume bottle, a crystal award, a gift box — rather than onto a label applied afterwards. On its corporate gift printing page, the company describes personalisation as "a different name on every piece at no extra setup, because there is no screen or plate."
Gahwa cups, perfume bottles and wedding favours
Sun Studio's corporate gift page lists five of its own jobs: gahwa cup printing for Emirati-employee gifting, commissioned through Velvet Soap; about 1,000 mini perfume bottles in four artworks for a private-label perfume house's corporate gifting run; personalised gahwa cups as wedding favours for a Dubai wedding; plastic fans printed one per guest at a Dubai wedding, commissioned through Lamatna; and aluminium giveaway cans for sister company PRO TECHnology at a Dubai World Trade Centre event.
Its dedicated perfume bottle printing page lists two further runs: 1,450 bottles in a desert-themed edition for Qatarat Al Ward, and 1,250 bottles for an Egyptian World Cup edition. Sun Studio prints bottles that a brand or its bottle supplier sends in; it does not make or sell perfume bottles itself, the page says. On minimum order, the page repeats the same point as the gift page in its own words: "There is no minimum. There is no screen or plate to pay for, which is what normally forces a high minimum elsewhere."
Crystal and glass awards, one name or a hundred
On crystal and awards printing, Sun Studio prints a full-colour photograph or logo directly onto crystal or glass, with a white ink layer behind it so the image holds rather than reading as transparent. The company draws the contrast with laser engraving itself: engraving "fractures the crystal to leave a frosted, single-colour mark," while printing lays coloured ink on the surface and cures it.
The order runs in four steps the page sets out itself: send the date, the award, the quantity, the names list and the artwork; a review of what the piece needs; one sample award printed and approved before the run, names included; then production, checked against the names list and boxed. On minimum order, the page says plainly: "There is no minimum. One award prints as readily as a hundred, which is why single retirement and commemorative pieces are a regular part of this work." A run of fifty awards with fifty different names, the page adds, "prints the same way as fifty identical ones," at no extra setup, and bilingual Arabic and English artwork is supported. The page names no specific clients, describing only generic categories such as retirement pieces and employee-of-the-year awards.
Gift boxes that match the gift
Sun Studio's custom box printing page covers gift, leather, wood, acrylic and velvet boxes that a client supplies; the studio prints them but does not manufacture the boxes themselves. "A single sample, 30 boxes or a full run are all normal orders, because digital UV printing needs no screen or plate for each design," the page says, adding that the price per box falls as quantity rises. Its own examples, shown on the page without a named client: a black gift box lid printed with white lettering and a personalised name, with full-colour flowers in the corners; a flocked presentation box printed in white with two logos; and a corrugated carton printed while it was still folded flat, with print on two of its panels.
Names and designs can change from box to box within the same production run, the page says, and raised UV ink — built up in layers on the surface — is explicitly not embossing, which presses a shape into the material with a die instead.
No screens, no plates — why personalising costs nothing extra
The reason Sun Studio can quote a single cup the same way it quotes a thousand sits in how digital UV printing differs from screen or pad printing. RefineColor, an industrial-printing guide published in November 2025, explains that conventional methods need a new screen or plate for every design, while "direct printing eliminates that entire step. There are no screens, no plates, and no intermediate transfer films." That absence of tooling is, in the guide's words, "the engine of personalization," letting a single production run carry — in its own example — "100 different designs on 100 phone cases."
Personalisation as a Gulf gifting trend
Sun Studio's own practice lines up with where UAE corporate gifting is said to be heading. GiftSuppliers.ae, a UAE corporate-gifts supplier, wrote in a December 2025 article on 2026 trends that "companies are focusing on making their gifts more meaningful and recipient-specific," pointing to custom engraving, personalised packaging and recipient-specific selection as examples. Sun Studio's own corporate gift page flags the seasonal squeeze that comes with it: "Seasonal work should start earlier than feels necessary, because Ramadan, Eid and National Day compress everyone into the same weeks."

Frequently asked questions
What is Sun Studio?
Sun Studio is a direct UV printing studio in Al Quoz, Dubai, founded in 2011, according to its about page. It says it belongs to a Dubai-founded group of companies that includes PRO TECHnology, founded in 1998, alongside EVO, HawaQ, PRONEXT and xAIa.
What corporate gifts and awards can Sun Studio personalise?
Its own pages describe gahwa cups and saucers, bottles and tumblers, candle jars, notebooks and leather covers, crystal and glass awards, and gift boxes — most rigid items that lie flat on a flatbed printer or turn on a cylindrical press, the corporate gift page says.
Is there a minimum order for personalised gifts or awards?
No. Sun Studio's corporate gift, perfume bottle, crystal awards and custom box pages all say the same thing in their own words: there is no screen or plate to make for digital UV printing, so a single sample, a handful of gifts or a full staff order are all normal jobs, and quantity changes the price per piece rather than whether the studio takes it on.
Can every piece in an order carry a different name?
Yes. Because there is no screen or plate to change between pieces, Sun Studio says a run of gifts, awards or boxes with a different name on each one prints the same way as an identical run, at no extra setup cost, provided the final spelling — in English, Arabic or both — is supplied in advance.
